Hymen is a barrier-like membrane within vagina. During first intercourse or insertion of tampon, tear in hymen can occur and lead to bleeding. Hymenoplasty is a procedure to recreate this membrane within vagina. This procedure is usually done for those patients aim to achieve post-nuptial bleeding for cultural and ethical reasons
This procedure is usually performed under anesthesia and at same-day out-patient facility.
